Building Blocks

Individuals List

Use this block to display a list of individuals (your animals) from the Individuals collection. It's perfect for showcasing your dogs, cats, horses, or other animals—whether you're introducing your breeding animals, available companions, or past champions.

Example Use
Display your current males and females, bucks and does, retired champions, or available animals.

Info

If you're not sure how to add an Individuals List block to your page, start with the Managing Building Blocks guide. It covers how to create a new block or add an existing one from your collection, as well as how to reorder and remove blocks within a page.

Name

This is just for reference within the app and doesn’t appear on the website. Example: Our Dogs > Males

Individuals

Select the individuals you want to display. You can reorder or remove them as needed.

Display

Choose what additional information to show with each article:

  • Hero Image – Show the hero image for each individual.
  • Call Name - Show the call name
  • Summary – Show the summary of each individual.
  • Parents – Show names of the sire and dam.
Not sure when to show the summary

Summaries work well when you're showing just a few individuals. If you're displaying many individuals, it’s often best to leave summaries off to keep the page compact.

Layout & Style

This block uses the standard card and list display options shared across multiple block types.

Info

To learn about Type, Card Type, Card Style, Card Gap, and more, see the full guide on Card and List Display Options.

Heading & Content

You can optionally add:

  • Heading – A title for the block (e.g. Males, Champions, Bucks).
  • Content – Rich text that appears below the heading. Use this to introduce the group of individuals or add context.

If you leave both fields blank, no heading or text will be shown.

You can choose which type of link your CTA button will use.
Select from Page, Individual, Article, or Breeding, and then choose the corresponding item.
