Announcement Strip

The Announcement Strip is a flexible full-width block with four display styles — use it to highlight key information, promote a CTA, or add visual interest between page sections.

Fields — all styles

  • Background – Choose a background style: default, primary, secondary, or muted.
  • Display Style – Choose from Scrolling Highlights, Highlights Row, CTA Bar, or Feature Strip.

Fields — Scrolling Highlights

  • Items – Click Create New to add each item. Each item has a Text field, an Icon picker, and an optional Link (Page, Article, Breeding, Individual, or External).
  • Speed – Scrolling speed: Slow, Medium, or Fast.
  • Size - Small, Medium or Large

Highlights Row

  • Items – Click Create New to add each item. Each item has a Text field, an Icon picker, and an optional Link (Page, Article, Breeding, Individual, or External).
  • Speed – Scrolling speed: Slow, Medium, or Fast. (Scrolling Highlights only.)
  • Size - Small, Medium or Large

Fields — CTA Bar

  • Text – A single line of text. Aim for 150 characters or less.
  • Icon – An optional icon displayed to the left of the text.
  • Button Label – The text on the button.
  • Call to Action – Choose a link type (Page, Article, Breeding, Individual, or External) and select the item to link to.

Fields — Feature Strip

  • Items – Same as Scrolling Highlights and Highlights Row.
  • Card Style – Choose None, Bordered, or Filled.

Example Use

You can use the Announcement Strip to:
  • Display a scrolling marquee of key points just below your hero — "Straight Egyptian Bloodlines", "5-Generation Pedigrees", "Breeding Enquiries Open"
  • Add a highlights row between sections to reinforce credentials at a glance *- Prompt an enquiry with a CTA bar at the bottom of a page — "2025 breeding season now open — limited approvals available"
  • Showcase what your site includes as a feature strip of small icon cards

Scrolling Highlights

A continuously scrolling strip of icon and text items. Works well just below a hero section for a quick visual summary of key points — bloodlines, credentials, location, availability.

Adding a Scrolling Highlights Strip

  1. Add a new Announcement Strip block to your page.
  2. Set Display Style to Scrolling Highlights.
  3. Choose a Background style.
  4. Set the Size — Small, Medium, or Large.
  5. Set the Speed — Slow, Medium, or Fast.
  6. Under Announcement Strip Items, click Create New or Add Existing.
    • Create New opens a side drawer with the following fields:
      • Text (required)
      • Icon – choose from the icon picker
      • Link – choose a link type: Page, Individual, Article, Breeding, or External
      • Open in New Tab – toggle on if linking externally
  7. Repeat for each item. Reorder by dragging.

Highlights Row

A static row of icon and text items displayed across the full width of the section. On large screens all items sit on one row — on smaller screens they stack into two or three columns. Works well mid-page to reinforce credentials or key points between content sections.

Adding a Highlights Row

  1. Add a new Announcement Strip block to your page.
  2. Set Display Style to Highlights Row.
  3. Choose a Background style.
  4. Set the Size — Small, Medium, or Large.
  5. Under Announcement Strip Items, click Create New or Add Existing.
    • Create New opens a side drawer with the following fields:
      • Text (required)
      • Icon – choose from the icon picker
      • Link – choose a link type: Page, Individual, Article, Breeding, or External
      • Open in New Tab – toggle on if linking externally
  6. Repeat for each item. Reorder by dragging.

Feature Strip

A row of small icon and text cards displayed across the full width of the section. Cards sit on one row on large screens and wrap into columns on smaller screens. Works well for showcasing features, services, or key selling points in a visual grid format.

Adding a Feature Strip

  1. Add a new Announcement Strip block to your page.
  2. Set Display Style to Feature Strip.
  3. Choose a Background style.
  4. Set the Card Style — None, Bordered, or Filled.
  5. Under Announcement Strip Items, click Create New or Add Existing.
    • Create New opens a side drawer with the following fields:
      • Text (required)
      • Icon – choose from the icon picker
      • Link – choose a link type: Page, Individual, Article, Breeding, or External
      • Open in New Tab – toggle on if linking externally
  6. Repeat for each item. Reorder by dragging.

Call To Action Bar

A full-width bar with an icon, a line of text, and a button. Works well at the bottom of a page to prompt an enquiry or direct visitors to a key page.

Adding a CTA Bar

  1. Add a new Announcement Strip block to your page.
  2. Set Display Style to CTA Bar.
  3. Choose a Background style.
  4. Add your Text — keep it to 150 characters or less.
  5. Choose an Icon to display to the left of the text (optional).
  6. Add a Button Label.
  7. Set the Call to Action link type — Page, Individual, Article, Breeding, or External — and select the item to link to.
