While it effectively represented pedigree information, we recognized the need for a more visually intuitive and dynamic presentation. Introducing our new tree-like pedigree design!
New Tree-Like Design
The new tree design isn't a traditional tree but a connected layout with lines linking each node, such as parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents. This design allows for a clearer and more structured visualization of pedigree information.
- Nodes and Connections: Each node represents an individual, with lines linking to parents, grandparents, etc., providing a connected and hierarchical view.
- Pedigree Design Options: On both breeding and individual pages, you can now select between two pedigree design options: Default and Tree.
- Default Design: This is the traditional table-like design, which works best for detailed pedigrees that include thumbnail images and extra information text.
- Tree Design: Ideal for simpler pedigrees, this design focuses on the individual’s name, titles, coat type, and other essential details without additional images or text.

- Best For: Simple and clean pedigrees, focusing on the essentials.

How to Use the New Pedigree Design
- Navigate to the Individual or Breeding Page: Go to the page where you want to display the pedigree.
- Select Pedigree Design: In the Pedigree Design field, choose either "Default" or "Tree" based on your preference and the pedigree details.
- Save: Check the design to ensure it meets your needs.
